Il Papavero is a pretty 17th Century stone cottage, tastefully restored and comfortably furnished, located on a peaceful hillside surrounded by olive groves. The property enjoys inspiring views of Cortona during the day and especially at night when the beautiful Tuscan hilltown is lit up like sparkling jewellery ! Situated in a small hamlet composed of 5 or 6 houses, Il Papavero is not isolated, but as none of the neighboring houses overlooks the property and its west-facing garden, your complete privacy and tranquility is guaranteed.
The internal layout of the house gives ample accommodation for 2 couples or a family of 4, also lending itself for an elderly couple with mobility problems in a small, queen-size bedroom on the ground floor, with adjacent bathroom all on the same level with the kitchen-dining room and front entrance. The garden is equipped with dining table and chairs for eating al fresco, as well as comfortable sun loungers.
There is a glass veranda adjacent to the kitchen which can be used as a panoramic dining room during cooler weather, affording splendid views of Cortona on its hillside 5 kms away. The property is easy to access by car along a narrow tarmac lane, and has private parking space within its own grounds.
