If you only want to stay a few nights in Cortona, why not try this beautiful olde-worlde, family-run B & B situated in the heart of town, created from an imposing 4-storey Renaissance building recently restored and converted to high standards. Gracefully furnished and decorated in Belle Epoque style, but equipped with absolutely all the mod cons of the frenetic 21st century, its hospitable and knowledgeable owner/manager (a charming American lady who settled in Cortona in the mid 'eighties) will provide you with a slap-up breakfast each morning, including eggs done to your personal taste and preference (fried, boiled, scrambled, potted or poached), cheese, hams, fresh fruit salad and fruit juices, toast, yoghurt, brioches and croissants and of course gallons of freshly made coffee and tea.
Each of Casa Chilenne's five, independently air-conditioned bedrooms has an attractively decorated en-suite bathroom and is equipped with private phone, broadband internet connection, Sky satellite TV (with English language news and sports programs), fridge bar, safe and hair dryer. One bedroom also has a clothes washing machine for its occupants' exclusive use.
Each flight of stairs from ground floor (street) level to top floor (open-air roof terrace) level is fitted with an electric chair lift for guests with mobility issues.
