Ciciano Cottage is a newly built home on the farm estate of Giuseppina and Dario that will accommodate up to 4 persons in the same comfort and elegance that has become the hallmark of Casa Giusi & Dario itself. The new unit is a 2-storey Tuscan home based on the rural vernacular of past centuries, using traditional techniques and materials such as terracotta floors, wooden ceiling beams, stuccoed walls and a pantiled roof. The Cottage has been converted from an old barn where ‘Ciciano’ (Dario’s father’s nickname) kept his beloved white ‘Chianina’ cattle.
Completion is scheduled for June next year so rentals will start in July 2012, by which time it will have its own private garden and sun terrace where you can eat and relax outside, completely out of sight of guests staying at Casa Giusi & Dario or the family home situated further uphill. Additional photos of the cottage inside and out will be added over the coming months as work progresses. If desired, Casa Giusi and Ciciano’s can be rented together as one complete unit to accommodate a large party or extended family group of up to 10 people.
